Transgas, a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) over-the-road transportation company located in Lowell, MA is seeking a motivated individual for the position of CRYOGENIC TECHNICIAN. This position is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of cryogenic cargo tank trailers and vaporization equipment. This position supervises union employees and other personnel as well as managing the LNG equipment assigned to Portable Pipeline (PPL) job sites. This position must understand and apply the provisions of applicable federal, state and local regulations.

The successful candidate is required to have a high school diploma or equivalent. A CDL-A commercial driver’s license with tank and hazardous material endorsements is required along with 5 years industry experience in cryogenic trailer systems, cryogenic tank fabrication, cryogenic industrial gases and in the LNG or natural gas pipeline industry.

Good supervisory, communication and computer skills are also required.

This is a shift position requiring rotating weekend and holiday coverage and off-site work assignments with travel required. This position reports directly to the Director of Fleet and Pipeline Operations.

This position is subject to federally mandated drug and alcohol testing.
